A Guru and a Student were having a conversation.
The Guru said to the student, "Today I will teach you the powerful mantra, Shiva Shambo, which holds the power of life and death." "Go try it on that worm over there - go to the worm and say Shiva Shambo."
The Student obeys, he walks over to the worm crawling on the ground and says "Shiva Shambo." The worm instantly dies. The Student is exuberant to have learned such a powerful mantra and exclaims "It's True! The mantra holds the power of life and death!"
Soon a Butterfly floats by them and the Guru again says to the Student, "Go and say Shiva Shambo to the Butterfly." The Student hesitates - "I don't want to kill the Butterfly!" he says. The Guru replies, "It's ok, just go say it." Reluctantly, the Student goes over near the Butterfly and says "Shiva Shambo." The Butterfly dies instantly.
Soon a young fawn deer walks by the pair. The Guru says, "Go say Shiva Shambo to the fawn." The student again protests "I certainly don't want to kill such a beautiful and young creature." The Guru responds, "It's ok, go say it." The Student goes to the fawn and with tears in his eyes he says "Shiva Shambo." The fawn dies instantly...
The Student is so upset with his Guru at this point he determines that enough is enough. As the Student is trying to build up the courage to confront his Guru on the subject, a woman walks by holding an infant. Before the Student can speak up, the Guru says "Go and say Shiva Shambo to the infant." Furious, the Student stands up and says, "NO I won't do it!" He walks over toward the infant and again says "I will not speak the mantra to this child!"
The infant looks up to the student and starts to speak! "Please sir, speak the mantra!" He says, "I was a worm, you spoke the mantra, and I became a Butterfly! You spoke the mantra again and I became a fawn! When you spoke the mantra again I became a human child. PLEASE speak the mantra now so that I may become Divine!"
